Data protection privacy notice
The APPG for Drug Policy Reform processes your personal data for the purposes of maintaining and using a membership and mailing list, and keeping minutes of meetings.
The data controller is the APPG secretariat, comprised of Tarsilo Onuluk, Alexandra Worrell, Frank Warburton, Mike Trace and Natasha Mutebi. The secretariat can be contacted by email at drugpolicyreformappg@gmail.com.
The data which we obtain from you and process is:
· Your name, title and email address
· Your phone number (if applicable)
· Your role and/or the organisation that you work for (if any).
We use this information to send you information about the APPG and its work, including meeting notices and minutes.
We may also need to record personal information about you, including your opinions, in minutes of meetings. Guest speakers and meeting attendees will be asked for their consent for any information disclosed during a meeting, if not anonymised, to be kept in the group’s minutes as per APPG rules.
Our lawful basis for using this information is Article 6(1)(f) General Data Protection Regulation:
“processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data…”
We will hold this information securely and we will keep this information for 5 years.
We will not transfer this personal data to any other organisation or person without your express consent and only ever for the purpose of the APPG’s work.
Please also note that under the rules which Parliament has set for APPGs, the names of APPG members (but not their contact details) may be published on the group’s website or else provided to enquirers on request.
